SIPn'SAWDUST Make and Taste Workshop

Updated: Aug 22, 2019

We are pleased to be partnering with Sawdust City Brewing to offer our latest workshop concept- SIPn'SAWDUST!

We love to share our passion for all things wood- but now we are combining it with a couple of our other loves- local flavours and craft beer! We are obsessed with charcuterie boards- we seek them out at every restaurant we visit. In fact that's how we used to drum up a lot of our business in the early years- we would order a charcuterie board and if it arrived on a plate (WHAT?!) we would kindly present the positives of switching it up to a wooden surface. The charcuterie board offers something for everyone and really sets the scene for an optimal sharing experience. The best part about a good board is that everyone can be an artist as they mix and match flavours on the spot. We are looking forward to presenting some of our favourite flavour combinations through this workshop setting.

What can you expect?

Get ready to sand through various grits and finish your own hardwood serving board- you can even try your hand at pyrography (wood burning) to customize your creation. Over the course of the session we'll be talking wood and of course, beer- but we also want to get you excited to plate and share food a top your glorious wooden creation! We will be sourcing samples from some of our favourite local producers to bring you exciting flavour combinations which we hope will inspire you to experiment and come up with your own combinations. We want you to get good use our of the board that you create, so please share your spreads with us by tagging @live_edge_forest and #sipnsawdust

Bring your taste buds and a few of your best buds along for an informative and flavour-filled day. No woodworking experience necessary, but this is a 19+ event.

It just so happens that our first offering will take place on Father's Day- what a perfect way to share a memorable experience with your pops! Please register in advance, as spaces are limited.
